Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Engineer

Our client is a growing MEP consulting engineering firm and is seeking a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) with 8–15 years of experience to join their team in a senior-level role. This position is ideal for an ambitious engineer who is not only technically strong, but also motivated to take on leadership responsibilities, contribute to business development, and grow into a long-term ownership/partnership role within the firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead multidisciplinary MEP projects from concept through construction administration.
  • Manage client relationships and serve as a primary point of contact.
  • Coordinate across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines to ensure cohesive system design.
  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Perform and review engineering calculations, design documents, and specifications.
  • Conduct site visits, field investigations, and construction progress reviews as needed.
  • Support business development efforts including proposal preparation, networking, and client expansion.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to internal standards and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field (advanced degree a plus).
  • 8–15 years of relevant MEP consulting experience.
  • Demonstrated success managing multidisciplinary projects.
  • Strong understanding of applicable codes and standards (IBC, NEC, ASHRAE, NFPA, etc.).
  • Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and standard engineering software tools.
