Design Director

Our client is seeking a Design Director for a construction project in Jeddah. Responsibilities include developing strategic design plans, communicating with clients, overseeing the design team and projects, and mentoring the design team, leading creative sessions to generate ideas. Manage all design related activities as PM Consultant with Contractors at program-wide and district-wide level within the Program schedule and budget. Coordinate across all disciplines of design team and related stakeholders and establish the platform for program-wide coordination. Manage the deliverables submittal process and progress within the time frame and quality suggested by the Consultants. Review design requirements of the program approved by the Client and scope of work. Manage the integration of designs on the districts on the Master Plan with careful coordination and ensure that all requirements including the plot and block regulations of the Master Plan are fully reflected on the design deliverables of each district. Develop the design packaging strategy in consultation with Program/Project Director and other key stakeholders. Review the interfacing elements with other disciplines in design team. Coordination with Lead Design Consultant (LDC) and Multi-Discipline Design Consultant (MDC) client during all phases to ensure production of contract documents are aligned with design intent. Full coordination between teams and projects. Resolution of complex technical and design issues as they arise. Main contact for coordination between teams, consultants, and clients. Responsible for ensuring that production of construction documents is in concert with design intent, within project schedules. Interface with permitting officials during the permitting and construction phases of the project. Works with the team in developing site and building design alternatives. Work with the technical director to lead the technical team and consultants to ensure that construction documents accurately interpret the intended design.

Licensing or Certifications. LEED, NCARB, ITIL, SAP, PMP, NCIDQ, CPQ, II, SME, CISSP.

Skills. Building codes, Architectural building systems, Standards and building structures, Integrated design and LEED guidelines, Sustainability, building construction standards, Building structures, Construction methodology, SketchUp, Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, Excel, SketchUp and other 3D sketch software, MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite.

Requirement: PMC Construction Delivery, Infrastructure & Public Realm, Site Wide Logistics Project Management Consultancy (PMC) Experience in Historic Building renovation is required. Experience Background of PMO/PMC bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture. Degree in Architecture, Design, Education, Entrepreneurship, Interior Design, Technical, Engineering, Graduate, Science, School of Design. Chartership in same field is preferred.

Compensation: 70K-75K SAR
