Executive Chef – New York

EBC Associates is seeking an Executive Chef to join a midtown Italian NYC celebrity owned upscale restaurant.

The Executive Chef directs and performs the daily execution of all assigned kitchen food production and service execution, while establishing and maintaining standards of operation in food quality, cleanliness, and maintenance, profitability and supervision of staff. Responsible for executing the F&B strategy to drive results, creating a consistent positive and engaging food experience.

Responsibilities:

Day to day responsibilities include maintaining the efficiency of kitchen operations, managing food, labor, based on budget and forecast, staff schedules, and researching current food trends.

Develop team members by performance, training team members, providing guidance and setting productivity goals, and monitoring and budgeting for all food supplies.

Oversight and approval of menu and recipe development. Monitor quality of food and presentation.

Track food cost and provide operations report daily, weekly, and monthly. Daily quality checks on all products, to ensure restaurant and health department sanitation requirements are being met.

Requirements:

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with excellent presentation and communication skills.

Strong knowledge and experience of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and best practices.

Food safety knowledge, budgeting, food cost optimization, staff education.

Bachelor’s degree or related culinary degree; 7-10 years’ experience working in an Italian culinary food environment.

Competitive Salary $140k-$150K, + benefits, 401K, PTO
