EBC Associates is seeking a strategic, client-focused Executive Director to lead a growing Financial Lines Insurance division. The role demands deep expertise across executive liability and professional risk products, a talent for building high-performing teams, and a passion for solving complex client challenges. Our ideal candidate will serve as a trusted advisor across D&O, E&O, EPLI, Cyber, Fiduciary, and Crime exposures.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Advisory and Relationship Management: Act as executive sponsor on key client accounts, including public companies, PE-backed firms, and complex private entities.
Lead detailed policy reviews, risk audits, and fiduciary briefings tailored to governance structure and industry risk. Serve as the escalation point for claims activity, coverage disputes, and critical risk events, such as regulatory inquiries or shareholder actions.
Strategic and Technical Leadership: Oversee complex placements across all Financial Lines productions, including quota share towers, blended programs, and manuscript negotiations involving D&O, E&O, EPLI, Cyber, Fiduciary, and Crime.
Embrace technical authority on coverage language, carrier negotiations, and placement strategies, particularly for emerging risks and evolving regulatory exposures.
Provide mentorship for junior and mid-level staff on business strategy, client advisor, and best practices on the renewal process.
Business Development and Growth: Drive cross-vertical collaboration with the Commercial, Professional, Benefits, and Personal Lines teams. Lead renewal and retention efforts with a consultative long-term value approach. Strengthen carrier partnerships, enhance division visibility in specialty markets, and support the sales and marketing initiatives.
Operational and Financial Oversight: Manage the P&L for the Financial Lines Division, including forecasting, client segmentation, and group resource allocation. Champion operational excellence by refining workflows, balancing books, and consistently enforcing service-level standards. Maintain oversight of renewal calendars, claims analytics reviews, and executive reporting deliverables.
Qualifications and Experience:
10+ years of experience in Financial Lines within a brokerage setting.
Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license (REQUIRED).
Proven leadership experience managing client portfolios and internal teams.
Expertise across executive liability and specialty risk products.
Strong negotiation, client advisory, and communication skills.
