We are an early-stage, purpose-driven equine business dedicated to advancing the health, performance, and longevity of horses through innovative products, partnerships, and experiences. As we enter our next stage of growth, we are seeking a passionate and financially astute Investor Relations & Strategic Communications Manager to build and nurture relationships with our current and future investors, and to help shape the financial and strategic narrative of our brand.
The Role
This is a unique opportunity for someone who thrives in a mission-driven, entrepreneurial environment and understands both the language of investors and the heartbeat of the equine world. You’ll play a central role in communicating our vision, growth plans, and financial progress to investors, strategic partners, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a clear, compelling investor relations strategy aligned with our mission and growth trajectory.
- Build strong relationships with existing investors and identify new funding opportunities (angel, venture, family offices with equine/lifestyle interests).
- Prepare and deliver investor communications, including quarterly updates, pitch decks, business summaries, and board reports.
- Act as a strategic thought partner to the CEO and founding team on capital planning, investor engagement, and fundraising strategy.
- Represent the company at industry events, investor meetings, and equestrian community gatherings.
- Support financial modeling, due diligence preparation, and capital raise execution.
- Monitor and share insights on market trends, competitive landscape, and investor sentiment relevant to the equine and lifestyle sectors.
Qualifications
- 3–7 years of experience in investor relations, startup fundraising, financial communications, or venture capital.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills with the ability to connect authentically with both financial and equine audiences.
- Deep interest in, or direct experience with, the equine industry is highly preferred.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, resource-constrained startup environment.
- Strong writing, presentation, and storytelling skills – able to translate numbers into meaningful narratives.
- Familiarity with financial modeling, startup KPIs, and early-stage investment terms.
- Experience with CRM systems, pitch decks, investor updates, and capital raise tools (e.g., DocSend, Carta, HubSpot).
Bonus if you have:
- Relationships with equine-aligned investors, lifestyle VCs, or niche PE groups
- Experience raising capital in consumer products, agribusiness, or wellness sectors
- A love for horses and an appreciation for the equestrian community
