Plaintiff-Side Employment Attorney

EBC Associates is seeking an experienced Plaintiff-Side Labor & Employment Attorney to join our client’s dynamic, mission-driven team. This is an opportunity to work on meaningful cases, develop as a litigator, and help shape the future of workplace justice.

What You’ll Do

• Litigate employment cases in federal and state courts—from drafting complaints through trial preparation (not limited to arbitration demands, motions, mediation statements and calculations of damages).

• Favorably resolve wage and hour cases

• Prosecute class and collective actions involving labor law wage and contract disputes

• Conduct and manage arbitrations, discovery, depositions, motions, and negotiations.

• Interview clients, evaluate claims, and build powerful narratives that drive results.

• Work closely with partners and colleagues to strategize and advance high-impact cases.

• Support clients with empathy, clarity, and professionalism throughout their case journey.

What We’re Looking For

• J.D. and active bar admission in relevant NY jurisdiction(s).

• 7+ years’ experience in labor & employment law—plaintiff-side experience strongly preferred.

• 5+ years of experience in wage & hour cases, a plus

• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.

• A client-centered approach and the ability to work with sensitivity and professionalism.

• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a busy litigation docket.

Preferred Skills

• Experience drafting and handling wage & hour matters.

• Deposition and courtroom experience.

• Mediation or negotiation experience.

• Spanish or other language proficiency (a plus, not required).
