Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Project Control Department Manager to join our dynamic team. This role requires a strategic leader with a proven track record in managing project controls on large-scale projects. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge and experience in cost engineering, cost estimating, planning, scheduling, and overall project control activities. This position offers a competitive salary package and the opportunity to work on international projects, with a preference for candidates with experience in Saudi Arabia (KSA).
Key Responsibilities
- Project Controls Leadership:
- Oversee and direct all project control activities, including cost engineering, cost estimating, control, and analysis, planning and scheduling, and schedule development.
- Establish criteria and systems for all project controls activities, ensuring they meet project requirements and industry standards.
- Cost and Schedule Management:
- Manage the development and implementation of cost control systems and procedures.
- Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and expenditures to ensure projects are delivered within budget and on schedule.
- Analyze project performance data and provide accurate and timely reporting to senior management.
- Process Improvement:
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project control processes and tools.
- Foster a culture of innovation and efficiency within the project controls team.
- Team Development:
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of project control professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Identify training and development needs and implement capacity-building programs.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and project teams.
- Prepare and present detailed project control reports and updates to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Risk Management:
- Identify and assess project risks related to cost and schedule and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure that project control practices adhere to regulatory and contractual requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, Supply Chain Management, or an equivalent degree from an accredited university.
- Professional Experience:
- Minimum of 17 years of experience in project controls, with a focus on cost and schedule management on large projects.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in directing cost engineering, cost estimating, control and analysis, planning and scheduling.
- Proven ability to establish criteria and system set-up for project controls activities.
- Technical Skills:
- Working knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start-up work processes.
- Proficiency in project control software and tools.
- Management and Communication Skills:
- Demonstrated skill in management, supervisory, and personnel administrative functions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- International Experience:
- Experience working on international projects, with a preference for candidates with experience in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).
- Western Nationals only.
Compensation
- SAR 50,000 to SAR 55,000 per month, negotiable for strong candidates.
