Position Overview:

o This is a technical sales role responsible for all pre sales technical engagement with potential customers.

o Key responsibilities will include presentations/demonstrations to prospects & at conferences, managing and delivering proof of concepts, proposal preparations including RFI/RFPs and technical support required to assist the sales team in driving the sale.

o This is a customer-facing role that requires global travel.

o To manage and deliver all technical aspects of the pre sales engagement process

o To present solutions as a technical innovator and trusted third party

o To earn the customers’ trust and loyalty


o Responsible for the technical pre sales activities associated with each customer

o Engage directly with each customer to understand their technical requirements

o Prepare the technical content of each customer proposal and in addition, present that content to key customer stakeholders

o When required, installation of software and provide all necessary support until completion; this includes support and troubleshooting for all pre sales technical escalations

o Ensure that all success criteria for software or a proof of concept (POC) deployment & adoption have been met and then secure customer signoff

o Design and develop workflow automation solutions in relation to customers using product

o Ensure that all customer requirements are being passed into the SVP Global Sales engineering teams

o Engage with Project Managers and plan for the delivery and implementation of the customer solution including any requirements for customization, training or services

o Conduct a post implementation review with the customer and the support team to ensure customer satisfaction

Desired Skills & Experience:


o Experience with complex enterprise software solutions sales in target markets that include Media and Entertainment, Advertising, Retail, and Publishing

o Previous experience working with IT organizations in target markets

o Must have previous experience working with the creative process or more specifically the production, management, distribution, and retention of rich media assets (images, graphics, audio, and video)

o Must have strong written, oral and presentation skills and the ability to conduct customer demonstrations

o Must have the ability to negotiate and position the merits of one technical solution or approach, with another

o Must have experience setting up a proof of concept, supporting a proof of concept and then negotiating the exercise to closure in accordance with pre-defined timelines and success criteria

o Must have the personal skills and integrity necessary to win the customer’s trust and engagement; this means strong interpersonal skills, strong communication skills, delivering on commitments and putting the customer first

o Must be passionate about customer satisfaction.

Key Technical Skills

o Familiarity with Creative Applications including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Apple Final Cut Pro, AVID Media Composer, Vizrt, Autodesk Maya, Maxon Cinema4D

o HTML / CSS / JavaScript

o Strong knowledge of Mac OS X and Windows Operating Systems

o Familiarity with Linux Operating Systems including command line tools

o Familiarity with media production processes and the creative process

o Solid understanding of TCP networking concepts

o Client-side scripting (BASH, PERL, Python etc) experience preferred

Other key aspects

o This role will require extensive travel including onsite customer engagement

o BS/ MS in Computer Science or Engineering will be desirable for this role but not required
